A week off? You got to be joking.

A week off? You got to be joking. I have a report to write so I thought I would go into work yesterday and get all the relevant information I needed, email it to myself and write the report at home. Well I thought it was a good plan until I tried to open the attachments, the information I need to write the report.

The problem is, my work uses WordPerfect and I have Word. No matter what I try or how I try it my PC won't let me open the attachments. Now I have a dilemma. Do I go into work and waste another day of my leave or do I just wait until Monday and hope I get enough time, without anyone asking me 'How do I do this?' or Can you just help me a minute?' to write the report?

I have one more thing I can try. I also send it to myself on our internal email system, (Groupwise) I will try to open it there first and hope it works.

If anyone out there knows how I can read the documents in word then Please, Please let me know.

It worked. My Groupwise has an inbuilt page reader and I was able to copy and paste to a word document. Now all I have to do is write the report!!
