Hair Doggie Style

I've started to take the puppies, Summer and Dani, to ringcraft training to get them ready for the show ring. The closest one to my house, which I know of, is at Burnham, which is about a 45 minute drive. The first couple of times I only took Summer and it wasn't a very nice trip as Summer was travel sick both times. The third time I took a friend with me which ment I could take Dani too. This time both dogs were fine and slept most of the way.

Summer is getting more used to big dogs now and on our last trip walked up and down the carpet. Dani walked half way and stopped dead, refusing to move any further. This was quite good for her first time and I'm sure next week she will be more confident and make it to the end of the carpet.

One of my other puppies, Ollie, who now lives with Wendy and her family, also goes to the same training and I managed to take a lovely photo of him.

I'll try and get some photo's of Summer and Dani sporting their new hair styles. For the show ring, Shih Tzu's have to have their hair up in a top knot and I was lucky to find a web site where they sold the very small bands needed. The site is called TurnHaria Pet Products and they sell a wide range of doggie goods including, Fashionable hair accessories, Grooming sets, Dog beds, items for new puppies and lots more so click on the link and go and take a look.

Dog Sitting and Holidays

Ok. Own up. Who's coming to Bristol on holiday?

I don't think it is a place I would consider for a holiday so I only hope you are visiting friends or family.

Have you found someone to look after your dog yet?

What sort of dog is it? Is it a friendly dog?

Why not bring it with you?

I know, so many questions. Well if you will do a search on Tiscali 'people to look after my dog when i am on holiday in bristol' and end up at my site but leave without even saying hello, then you have to expect some kind of recourse.

Anyway, whoever you are I hope your dog finds a nanny and you have a great time here in Bristol.

Cats, Dogs, Clothes and Cupboards. Not a Report in Sight

Why is it that when you are in a hurry to do something, everything around you gets on your nerves, even the cat, who decided to attack the dog. Mind you I don't blame him, the dog was even winding me up, crying because she wanted attention, when all I wanted to do was finish these reports that I was suppose to do over the weekend.

I know what you're thinking now 'Why leave it till the last minute?' Well that's just me. I always find something better I could be doing like, washing every single bit of clothing we have in the house and then ironing it all or sorting out the cupboards in the kitchen, when they were only sorted a month ago. I have to confess, writing reports at home in my own time is one of my pet hates. I know I can claim the time back and take an extra day off, but that's not the point. Home is for enjoyment and work is for work, the two should not be mixed.

Anyway I still have one report left to write, yes I know I should have been writing 'it' instead of writing this but this seemed a lot more fun.
