Purple Nissan Micra

I've ended up with one like this.

I Never Knew That

Did you know?

Men with more testosterone make smooth talkers. A UK study found that regular injections of the male hormone made men more articulate, persuasive and fluent.

Acidic fruits and alcohol (except processed liquors) give semen a pleasant and sugary taste

75% of women say they have faked an orgasm at least once

Only about 10%-20% of all women can actually achieve orgasm through penetration alone. The other 80%-90% require some sort of external stimulation.

Weird News..

A vibrating sex toy was mistaken for a bomb. The entire Mackay Airport in Queensland was closed down for nearly an hour because of it.The alarm was raised by cafeteria manager Lynne Bryant, whose staff was cleaning the tables when they noticed a strange humming noise coming from a rubbish bin. While the police was calling in bomb experts, a passenger came forwards to identify the contents of the package. The unidentified passenger forgot his bag after dinner.

RED SPORTS CAR?

I phoned the insurance company last night who advised me to take my car to one of their named garages to get the damage looked at. I enquired about a hire car due to the head light not working and so not road worthy. I was told they would only provide me with one while the work was being carried out or in the event of it being uneconomical to repair, the time it takes to negotiate what will happen to the car. I was not pleased about this as I need to be able to drive my car at all times of the day and night both for work and my social life.
Anyway this morning I phoned the garage and was surprised I could take it down straight away and they would look at it while I waited. Ater a phone call to work to say I would be late off I went to the garage.

A nice chap, with an Australian accent took my keys and off he went. About 10 minutes later he came back and told me he would need to take the car in so he could carry out a more in-depth inspection as the damage was such that it may be the insurance company may write it off. I explained to the man that I needed a car both for my job and that I was going away for the weekend and so needed it for that. He was a nice man and said that he would arrange for a loan car for me. I explained what my insurance company had said and asked if I would have to pay for it. He said that it was all part of their service to costumers and that the garage would be paying. I could have kissed him, well if he had been a bit younger I may have.
Now I am just waiting for a phone call telling me when to drop my car off and pick up the loan car, which should be sometime before Saturday.

I hope it’s a nice red sports car but I expect it will be a dull white family car.

Middlesbrough / Bristol City, so, so close

What a game!

I was on the edge of my seat from kick off to the end of the penalty shot out. Bristol City played well and for a lot of the game they were the better team.

After watching their first meeting with Middlesbrough at Ashton Park a couple of Saturdays ago, where they held them to a 2 all draw, I knew the replay would be a close match, I didn’t realise just how close it would be. It’s a shame the game was played on a working night. I would have loved to have gone and watched them and joined in with the cheers of the crowd but work had me firmly in Bristol.

I had planned on going to the pub to watch the game but I was off work yesterday with a streaming cold so didn’t really feel like going out, at least I could shout and swear in the comfort of my own home.

Middlesbrough Celebrate

I was back to work today, much to the surprise of my colleagues as they thought I would be off for the rest of the week, but with so much work to do at the moment I can’t afford to take much time off.

The day was going well up until 3pm when someone from my team said that mine and my manager’s car had been hit by another car which had driven off. To say I was angry would be a gross underestimate of how I was feeling. The words that came out of my mouth would have put even the most harden criminal to shame.

We went out to look to see what damage had been caused. My manager’s car had been hit in the back, shoving it at least 10 foot along the road. My car had a smashed headlight and dents and scratches all down the driver’s side and a broken wing mirror.

It’s not so much the damage that’s annoying but the inconvenience of having to take it to the garage to get an estimate and then wait for the insurance company to say if they are going to pay for the repairs or write it off. My car is not a new one and as such is not worth that much so I have a feeling the damage will cost more to put right than the car is worth. I’m glad I took the hire car option with the insurance, at least I get 3 weeks of car rental if I have to look for a new one.

Oh and to the driver who drove off, keep looking over your shoulder, we are on your trail!

Exciting Times

It’s quite an exciting time for me at the mo. In Bristol, where I live, we are all on tender hooks as to how Bristol City will do on Tuesday in their replay of the FA cup match against Middlesbrough. I was lucky enough to get a ticket to watch the first match with my daughter, Lou. We had a brilliant time, even if we were freezing cold. This time I will be inside watching the action on Sky Sports.

Then, as if that wasn’t enough, I will be travelling down to Plymouth next Saturday to watch Plymouth Argyle in their FA match against Derby County.

Although Derby are top of the Championship, I think we are in with a real chance of beating them. The last time the two teams met at Home Park, Plymouth’s home ground, Plymouth managed to slaughter Derby in a 3-1 win. The next time the pair met was at Pride Park Stadium, home of Derby. There Derby managed a 1-0 victory. That was back in December 2006. At the time Derby were 3rd in the championship and Plymouth were down at 13th. With the game on Saturday being played at Home park I think this gives Plymouth a huge advantage, after all we have one of the best fan followings in the Championship.

I would like to ask the workers who work on the motorways – If it snows next Saturday could you all work on the M5 to keep it clear? – Thanks x
