Life is very dark

Not much to say at the moment apart from I'm feeling sad, so see you all when I'm happy again.

Well another predicable night. We lost at skittles again, but we were two players down and we had already roped in two people who don't usually play, to play for us, one being my daughter.
Once again I have had too much vodka and can hardly see the screen let alone type. Think I will go to bed.

Flower Power

I'm in rather a hippy mood today so I thought I would share with you a picture of my favourite flower.

The Calling

Yeah, yeah, I know I said last week that I wasn't going to go over there again but the sound of the music is calling me.

See you all after the pub x

I couldn't find a picture of my local so I thought I would put a picture of the road leading to it.

Harry?

I have two dogs both very friendly and excitable. I got the first one when, after being burgled twice, the police advised it would be the best deterrent. She's a really good house dog and lets me know if anyone even comes near the house let alone in the garden. The second one I got to show but as she doesn't like other dogs, she very shy, her show career didn't last long.
In this lovely weather I usually leave the back door open so they can go in and out as they please. If they start to bark at anyone I usually go out have a look and call them in so they don't cause my neighbours any disturbance. Although the neighbour whose house over looks my garden says he likes the dogs to bark if anyone is there so he can check too, he has also been burgled.
Anyway, tonight the dogs where out in the garden and started barking furiously. On investigating I found they had come across a hedgehog, curled up, on our patio. I haven't seen a hedgehog for years and it took me back to when I was a kid living on the outskirts of Plymouth and all the garden animals we used to see then. My daughter came out and suggested we put down some food for it. Me, being a big softy, agreed and put out a plate of dog food and dish of water for it. I came back in to check on the internet that I had done the right thing and by the time I went back out it had gone.
Now I have a disappointed daughter and two dogs sniffing around the garden, trying to find it. I think if it comes back tomorrow night we will have to name it. Harry comes to mind but as that's a bit boring I am open to suggestions. So get your thinking caps on and let me know what you think our new pet should be called.

Drinking on a Wednesday

My local has decided to have live music on a Wednesday night to break up the week so off I went last night to take a look.
The result was:

Over sleeping till 9am this morning.
A head ache all day in work.
A nap on the sofa which lasted from about 8ish till 1.30Am.

I don't think I will be going over again, besides the music wasn't that good.

Off to bed now. Sweet dreams all.

Bikes and Mud Don't Go!!

Not much to say really. Football last night was good. Football tonight was boring. I've been busy with my new fitness regime. Monday was swimming, last night I went on a bike ride and tomorrow is swimming again.

The bike ride was fun. We decided to go on a different path and we ended up riding through fields and along what seemed like a jungle track. Because of the heavy rain we had yesterday, the track was full of puddles and mud and at one point my bike decided to stop in the middle of one of the puddles. Needless to say I got a bit wet. My bike was playing up a bit and I need to find a man who knows more about bikes than I do, which won't be hard as I know nothing. The gears keep slipping and trying to ride up hill is a nightmare.

Better get off to bed now so I have the energy for my swim.

Although this is not me, the track was just like this one. Never again!!!

All Hot and Bothered

Two things have made me hot and bothered today.

One being the England game. I think the only thing I can say about the match is that England are consistent in their play, not at all good. The second thing is my house.

Last night in bed I was so hot, I kept throwing the quilt off, which is most unlike me. I now know the reason why it was so hot. I watched the England game at the pub and when I got home my sitting room was like a sauna. I discovered the heating was on. The temperature outside is in the late 20s, so you can imagine how hot it was inside. My youngest daughter has gone to visit family for the weekend and my guessing is that she needed to dry some clothes before she went and put the heating on. Only she forgot to turn it off. Amy you're in trouble when you get home.

Going back to the England match. The landlord of the pub I went to is Portuguese which not many people know, but me being very nosy, I have found out everything about him. After the extra time had been played he came up to me and whispered in my ear 'I don't think I should shout if Portugal score in the penalties' I agreed with this as the crowd were very noisy, but happy, singing football songs. That is until England lost the match then all hell broke loose. I was sat in the lounge and it wasn't too bad in there, just one man throw one drink. But in the other side of the pub, The Bar, bottles and glasses went flying everywhere. By the time the 'fans' had finished it looked like, in the landlords words, 'A Shit Pit'

Can't England fans even go to their local pub and behave. It's no wonder we have such a bad name abroad.
