Interesting blog. Got here from Mohawk Cheif's site. It was interesting to read that prom is something you have in the UK too. I would have guessed that to be more of an "American" thing.

Yes it is an 'American' thing. It's only been happening here 5 or so years. I suppose its another way for someone to make some money but I must say my daughter did really enjoy it.

I did a search on 'didn't we have a lovely time the day we went to' because I couldn't remember the name of the town in the song.

That led to your site amongst others!

I was thinking of the song when we went to the seaside here in South Korea. Incheon is remarkably like Blackpool , Brighton , WSM and all those other towns with a promenade.
Something things seem to to be the same the world over.

Well done for getting a mention in the papers by the way.
