Flexible Spanking

I've just decided, after watching 'The Secretary' that my job is quite boring really.

What happens if I get a spelling wrong?

My boss corrects it for me.

What happens to me if I make a wrong decision?

My manager tells me how to do it differently next time.

I think I need a much firmer boss.

One who can take control.

One who isn't afraid to show his strength and power over me.

On second thoughts,

I do like my job and the flexibility I have with it.

I do like to have the freedom that most jobs don't offer.

Maybe I'll think about changing next year.

For now I think I can put up with a boss that lets me think for myself.

Cats, Dogs, Clothes and Cupboards. Not a Report in Sight

Why is it that when you are in a hurry to do something, everything around you gets on your nerves, even the cat, who decided to attack the dog. Mind you I don't blame him, the dog was even winding me up, crying because she wanted attention, when all I wanted to do was finish these reports that I was suppose to do over the weekend.

I know what you're thinking now 'Why leave it till the last minute?' Well that's just me. I always find something better I could be doing like, washing every single bit of clothing we have in the house and then ironing it all or sorting out the cupboards in the kitchen, when they were only sorted a month ago. I have to confess, writing reports at home in my own time is one of my pet hates. I know I can claim the time back and take an extra day off, but that's not the point. Home is for enjoyment and work is for work, the two should not be mixed.

Anyway I still have one report left to write, yes I know I should have been writing 'it' instead of writing this but this seemed a lot more fun.

Apologies Needed?

This time last month Plymouth Argyle were 7th in the Championship League now they have dropped to 11th. Southampton, on the other hand, were 10th and have moved up to an impressive 5th place. After just watching highlights of the Southampton/Hull game on TV I've come to the conclusion that they are playing a lot better than Plymouth and their placing is deserved.
On saying that, this is just a sticky patch Argyle are going through, after all you can't be good all of the time, and I'm convinced they will be back up nearer the top before too long, they could even get to the playoffs if they can recapture the form they were showing at the beginning of the season.
I was going to apologise to Southampton supporters for my last post, but I think that would be a bit too premature, so I'll save that for another day, not that I think I will need to.

Well done Southampton, but not for long

Well I suppose I have to give credit to Southampton. They have managed to go higher than Plymouth in the Championship. Well done and good luck for the second part of the season, I have a feeling you may need it.
At the pub tonight I got talking to a guy who had 4, yes 4 favourite teams. His first was Bristol Rovers. Now that must tell anyone reading what kind of a guy he is, a loser. His second was Bristol city. A little better than Rovers but still not quite there. His third was Cardiff. When he told me this all sorts of comments came out of my mouth about sheep and the Welsh and then a friend of his said , ' he's from Wales' did I looked bothered? You guessed right. No way.
Well his last team was Man U. anyone who has a crap first team supports Man u so that don't count.
I think I will stick to my beloved Plymouth Argyle and only have one true team which I support and have only positive thoughts about. One day we will get to the premiership but now is not the right time.

Lost in the North or Was it the West?

After a shaky start, when my brother's car caught fire and the door on our aeroplane wouldn't close and they had to call out an engineer to see if he could mend it, we arrived to hot blazing sun in Florida.
My brother couldn't find his driving licence so it was left up to me to drive us around for the two weeks we were there. The journey from the airport was an experience in itself.

A drive which should have taken an hour ended up taking 4 hours. As you can guess we got lost big time. When we did reach our villa we were all very tired and stressed and decided to chill out before embarking on our quest to find the first of the parks we were going to visit the next day.

The trouble with the road signs in the USA are the way they ask if you're going 'west or east' or 'north or south' When you've no idea of what direction you need, just the name of the place you are going to, these signs are more than useless, in fact they got us lost more times than I can remember.

Even with this disadvantage we did managed to visit all the Disney parks and a couple of others too.

We also had time to travel down to Tampa (where we got lost again) and spend the afternoon on Clearwater beach, where we watched the sunset over the sea.

I think next time I travel over the pond it will be to Miami. Unfortunately it was a little to far to drive there and back in one day from Orlando and who knows where we may have ended up when there was 220 miles between us and our destination.

Maybe I should go back to school and think about taking geography as one of my options.

Name Search

I decided to search Blogger tonight using my first name to see what it came up with. Take a look at this, the video made me smile.
I then went a step further and put my name into google image search and found lots of pictures with the same name as mine:
I'll leave you to decide which one is me (If any at all)

Found. Another One in Bristol

I've just had the most enjoyable night at my local. I met a bloke who, like me, is a Plymouth Argyle supporter. He was already in the pub when I arrived and was sat by himself reading a newspaper.
We were first sat on the bar stools but my mate had a bad back so we had to move on to the more comfy seats. Both my mates sat down before me as I was waiting to be served with a vodka and coke.
When I did get to sit down the only place left was next to this bloke. He was quiet at first. I would make a comment about what he was doing and he would politely respond. Then, me not being very shy at all, asked him a question out right. He answered and it all started from there. Like me, he was from Plymouth and he supported the Green Army.
We hit it off straight away. He was a lovely chap and we talked the night away. We ended with him reading to me his speech that he had prepared for his sisters wedding this weekend, which is taking place in Plymouth, wish I was there.
Happy wedding day to Don and Ricky's sister, who I have forgotten the name of.

Are Ipswich Good Enough?

On Sunday Ipswich earned a deserved 3 points when they beat Luton Town 5-0. Two of the players have been named in the Coca-Cola Championship team of the week, Sylvain Legwinski and Alan Lee. Tonight they meet Plymouth Argyle at Home Park, who are unbeaten for the last 6 matches.

Plymouth are 5th in the Championship league going into this match and they will be hoping to improve on this position. While a win for Ipswich will take them just 1 point below Plymouth.

The last two times the clubs met, the teams took one match apiece. Ipswich winning their home match and Plymouth winning there's. If the trend continues then Plymouth are in for a win.

Good luck Jack, I think you will need it.
